OUR CLIENTS

I would like to thank you and the IMFS team for your outstanding work on the floating foundation for our recently completed Maddie James Seaside Learning Center in Dana Point, California. The challenge of building 5500 SF of floating concrete foundation and designing it as 17 separate pieces that were shipped by truck from Vancouver to Dana Point and then assembled in the water and post tensioned together to make one large platform was executed in a most professional manner and within our cost estimate and timeline schedule.

We sincerely appreciate how well your team worked with John S. Meek, the general contractor, and Bluewater Design Group Engineering. Your onsite collaboration with them made this unique installation a smooth and seamless project. Although we had our challenging moments throughout the process, IMFS was a great team player, and was instrumental in coming up with good “out of the box” solutions that always kept the cost and schedule in mind. Our MJSLC is now a fantastic facility that is being enjoyed by thousands of kids every year, learning oceanography, environmental science and maritime history, and we feel that your company was instrumental in making this a success.

IMFS exceeded all our expectations in quality and customer service! We are pleased to give the IMFS team our highest recommendation. We wish you all the success in the future.

— Daniel T. Stetson President/CEO, Ocean Institute, Dana Point, California

The West Vancouver Yacht Club is in year 8 of its 15 year dock replacement plan. International Marine Floatation Systems has been the prime contractor through this process. They offer a quality product at a competitive price and deliver on time and on budget. They have been extremely flexible in meeting our requirements and have incorporated some unique features that we required in our installations. Their installation crews are experienced, expeditious and willingly work through any unexpected issues that may arise at the work site.

You can be sure that your clients/members will be pleased with the final product. I would be proud to show you the installation at WVYC at anytime.

— Martin Wale General Manager, West Vancouver Yacht Club

Thunderbird Marine Corp and International Marine Floatation Systems (IMFS) have had a long relationship doing business together. IMFS has installed thousands of lineal feet of engineered concrete floats and galvanized steel torque tube fingers at our marinas in Vancouver and West Vancouver. Thunderbird is extremely satisfied with the quality of the products and the guidance provided by the IMFS team.

Thunderbird prides itself on using only the best at our marinas and we are proud to use IMFS as the one of our primary suppliers and consultants. We highly recommend International Marine Floatation Systems.

Yours very truly,

— Michael de Pfyffer Vice President, Thunderbird Marine Corp.

To whom it may concern;

Over the  past number of years the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club has employed the services of International Marine Floatation Systems, Ltd. to design, build and install 1000’s of ft of concrete docks at our Jericho Beach location. Right from the design phase which takes countless hours of layout, measurements and coordination including electricians and plumbers to fabricators and suppliers the process has always been flawless. Working with Mr. Mathias Tobias, Sr. Project Manger at this early stage has always gone smoothly and amicably. As anyone knows in this business this is the time to get things right and with the expansive knowledge and skill of Mr. Tobias this process goes off seamlessly. The construction phase is really a site to behold, with the foam, steel, conduit and concrete all coming together to make a first class product.

The installation is where the whole thing comes together and were the IMFS team really shines. The last major job IMFS did for us (design, build, install 695 SF) the whole thing was installed within 2 days, much to the thrill of the boat owners that were affected by the shut down in the busy season. Obviously I would not hesitate to recommend IMFS for anyone seeking on-time on-budget, professional service with a first class end result product.

— Chris Barnett Marine Assets Manager, Royal Vancouver Yacht Club

The Hudson River Park Trust would like to express our thanks to you and the IMFS team for an outstanding job on the design & engineering for Pier 66. We are appreciative of the design solutions and commitment that IMFS has brought to this project, along with keeping in mind our budget and schedule. Over the past number of years HRPT has specified your product and assistance on many of our piers and docks including; Pier 84, 53, 26 & 25, we feel that your structural concrete design is best suited for the Hudson River marine environment and has even stood up to hurricane Sandy’s extreme weather conditions.

We are pleased to recommend the IMFS team and every project for the HRPT over the years.

— Steven Ferker Chief Engineer, Hudson River Park Trust

Thanks very much for the update and for sharing the photos — the float looks excellent. You and the team at IMFS have done a fantastic job, and the communication throughout the process has been greatly appreciated. Thanks as well for confirming the plan to hook the float to the piles and leave the materials on deck for us to connect the debris bag. That works well on our end. It’s been a pleasure working with you and the IMFS team. Please pass along my thanks to everyone involved. I look forward to seeing the float in place.

— Jason Evans Marine Asset Technical Coordinator, Vancouver Fraser Port Authority
